Proteus Professional v9 has introduced native support for global UI themes, allowing users to switch between standard Light mode and a sleek, low-eyestrain Dark mode across the entire application interface. Here you will learn how to change the default theme to the built-in dark theme.
How to Change the Global UI Theme in Proteus v9
Open System Settings: Go to the top menu bar and select System $\rightarrow$ System Settings.
Select UI Theme: Under the global preferences tab, locate the Themes & Icons section.
Choose Theme: Switch the Theme option between Standard (Light) and Dark Mode. (You can also adjust icon scaling sizes from this menu if using high-DPI displays).
Apply & Restart: Click OK to save. Note: You must restart Proteus for the new theme assets to fully apply across all workspace windows (Schematic Capture, PCB Layout, and VSM Studio).
